Staff accounts for the workspace
Everyone on your team signs in as themselves, with a role for each venue and a log of what changed.
When a whole team shares one login, nobody can tell who moved a booking. Now every person on your team has their own sign-in to the Onla workspace and a role at each venue they work at, and the activity log shows who signed in and who changed access.
Everyone signs in as themselves
Each person has their own account: an email and a password of at least 12 characters. A Face ID or Touch ID passkey and an authenticator app with backup codes are optional, and there are no shared codes to pass around.
Invites and roles
Owners and managers invite their team from Team. An invite is an email link that works once, for 72 hours. Each person has a role per venue, and someone who works across a group of restaurants switches venues from the sidebar.
| Role | What they can do |
|---|---|
| Host | Runs service: bookings, requests, special requests, sold-out dishes, today's note, test calls and knowledge drafts |
| Manager | Everything a host does, plus publishing knowledge and the menu, changing Setup and Connections, and managing hosts and host stands |
| Owner | Everything a manager does, plus managing managers and owners |
A shared iPad at the host stand
A manager can make one device the host stand. It then asks “Who's working?”. Staff tap their name and enter a personal 4-digit PIN, which starts a 12-hour shift on that device and locks it after 10 idle minutes.
Five wrong PINs lock that person out of the device for 15 minutes.
Removing access, and the log
Removing someone in Team ends their sessions for that venue at once. Team, Recent activity keeps an append-only log of sign-ins, invitations, role changes and removals.
