Allergy, halal and dietary questions on a booking call.
When a guest asks whether a dish is safe or halal, the answer comes from your team. See how Amira records the question for your team, without a promise.
A guest booking a table may ask about an allergy, a dietary need or whether the food is halal. Amira records that question for your team, linked to the booking when there is one, and leaves the answer to your chef or manager. Your team knows the menu, the ingredients, the preparation and any certification it can support.
Your restaurant gives the answer
| The question | Who answers |
|---|---|
| Menu, hours and location | Amira, from the restaurant information reviewed and tested during setup. |
| Allergens and suitability | Your chef or manager, including cross-contact and whether a dish suits the guest. Amira does not give allergy or medical advice. |
| Halal status | Your restaurant. Amira records the question for your team and does not assert certification or suitability. |
Amira does not turn a guest's question into a promise that the kitchen can accommodate it. That answer comes from your chef or manager.
On the call, the table and the question stay separate
A table booking and an answer about food are two different things. Saving a table does not establish that a dietary need can be met.
Amira saves a follow-up request with the conversation context and the contact details available. She can link it to an existing booking, and the guest does not need to make a new booking for the request to be saved.
She makes no promise that a dish is safe, halal or adaptable, or that the kitchen will fulfil the request.
Your team follows up and records what happened
The request reaches the workspace
It appears in the host workspace with its history, linked to the booking where one exists.
A team member claims it
They contact the guest through your agreed process.
They close it with a note
When they resolve the request, they record a note on the outcome.
That note is a record of what your staff did. It is not an independent guarantee about a dish or proof that the guest was contacted. Calls are not transferred live, and Amira does not promise the guest an automatic callback. Read what Amira handles end to end, and where food safety sits today.
Agree who answers before guest calls
During setup, agree who on your team answers these questions, then test the request with a fictional guest. Add that responsibility to your floor-rules checklist.
Amira works in English and Arabic, and real-call qualification is in progress. Test Arabic names, numbers and the saved request details with your team before guest calls. Dietary safety answers still come from your staff.

Questions restaurants ask
Can Amira tell a guest whether a dish is safe for their allergy?
No. Amira records the question for your team, and your chef or manager answers it. She does not give allergy or medical advice or promise that the kitchen can accommodate the request.
Does Onla confirm whether food is halal?
No. A halal question is recorded for your team to answer. Your restaurant makes that statement, not the AI.
Where does the allergy question go?
It becomes a request in the host workspace, linked to a booking where one exists. Staff can claim it and record an outcome note after handling it.
Does saving the request mean the guest will be contacted?
It records that the question needs an answer, and your team owns the follow-up. Neither a saved request nor a resolved status proves on its own that the guest received an answer.
Can guests mention dietary needs in Arabic?
Amira works in English and Arabic, with real-call qualification in progress. Test Arabic names, numbers and saved request details with your team before guest calls. Dietary safety answers still come from staff.
